If you think they will stop at contracting out the poor street sweepers, you're wrong. Let's not be like a frog in a kettle where the temp rises so slowly that before you know it its cooked. We need to act now before the city manager sends your job out the door.
Where are the tax payers? Sending the street sweeping jobs to the garbage company is only shifting their costs to the public. Waste Management gets their money from garbage rates, which the city council sets. Those rates will now have to cover the cost of street sweepers. The tax payers will get to pay for this service again through rising garbage rates. What a scam!

if city employees dont stick together on this then all of our jobs will be at risk. if you take a look at what these guys are doing then you will see that they want to contract our everythign.
maybe the street sweepers just don't want to go back to the street crew. they like riding in the air conditioned heated sweepers all day
